The NEW CAVEMAN?

So I realize that the Fall/Winter 2010 collection for Chanel debuted in early March... but I feel it touches on a topic that needs to be discussed...is "Caveman" a trend?!

At work we started carrying a brand of shoes that were designed after a pair of shoes FOUND on an actual caveman (thank you global warming and melting ice caps). They are ugly as hell so I'm not going to bother attaching a picture, but people are buying them!

At the Chanel FW2010 show they actually transported large sections of real iceberg from Scandinavia, and models splashed around wearing shaggy boots, and fur suits. Note the hair and makeup...very caveman if you ask me.

While I'm not sure how I feel about this possible emerging trend, I do have to appreciate Lagerfeld's over-the-top winter collections, and his ability to continue to surprise.
